Can you provide more information, even if it is only to detail why it is your 'highly likely guess'. If you have more specific information I would be interested also. All I have is my general understanding of the situation of the walk positives and the clues (male gold, single gold, endurance...).

Could be that that it was a chick, that she won two bronze medals in fencing, and that she tested negative rather than positive. Everyone is focusing on the details of the story.

Bolt and Bekele are obviously safe. I think the insider was doing his best to direct us toward Ramzi. I also believe that the person he is talking about is someone who literally runs on the track the whole time... not Wanjiru or a racewalker. Kenyan athletes have quite a streak of clean drug tests going don't they? This is the moment we have all been waiting for!

If there was a male track and field athlete who won only one gold medal, it was not KB.

The athlete with 2 positive tests could have been someone that was tested in two events, or if there were samples taken after a heat or semi as well as the final, it could have been someone who competed in a single event where you don't qualify directly into the final... plenty of options here.

How about Alex Schwarzer, only because he's from Italy. I know it's thin, but so far, most of the CERA busts have been Italians (including the other one from the Olympics, if the media are to be believed about Rebellin), which kind of fits with the idea that one doctor (or group) is providing the stuff to a group of athletes, like in Spain with Operacion Puerta?

So Ramzi screwed Lagat out of the final spot in the final. Willis was 5th in that semi, and gets bronze (now silver). Lagat gets to wonder what may have been.

I don't mean to say I am glad, because this is bad for thr sport, but I am not upset he has finally been caught.

It's hard to get the image out of my mind of Ramzi sprinting from the finish all the way up the stadium steps after winning his first Olympic gold in 2004 (or was that after the semi?). Was he running up to hug his supplier?

Just wrote in the "parallel thread" that it's good a cheat gets caught. However, I am much more frustrated he has never been tested positive between 2005 and 2008 despite the common suspicions after his fabulous 2005 season. It's hard to believe he only started doping in June last year or whatever.

Any word on the other druggies?? They said there were 7 positive tests, minus rebillin and ramzi, that leaves 5...
