I like change but I think the new homepage isn\'t innovative enough. I thought the old homepage was too \"texty\" and simple. The new one is still that!

i like the old design.
this new design is fine, but it's not as easy and fast to scan what i want to read.

I guess the younger generation has an attention span of about 7 minutes. So many new threads get started everyday, you can be gone 24 hours and a thread is already on the 4th page. There must be a reason virtually every other forum on the internet is divided into sub forums. Because everyone likes them better that way!!!!!(except you)
I also like having just 1 page, and not separate sub forums. It's much easier to take a quick glance at all the threads.

I would not care, except the new front page kills my browser while loading... can't go anywhere but the forum by linking in. FWIW: firefox on Solaris 10 (Yep, Sun's own Java: not my cup of tea.)

So if they have a running sub forum and a non-running sub forum and someone posts an interesting non-running thread in the running sub-forum, you are too stupid to look in the non-running sub forum for it if it gets moved?
i don't like it from a design standpoint but i guess it's trying to look like the front page of a newspaper. i guess it does okay in that sense. it's definitely an improvement (i.e. more contrast, a splash of color here and there, more variety of visual elements, etc.) but is still way too busy, cluttered, etc...
i know most of us go to the message boards, look for the latest news in our running world, and after that, what else is there?
i hope they are still planning to tweak it.
The front page NEEDS to be cluttered. There's just so much going on per day. I like how it is still pretty simple. It snubs the snobs, as they say. I'd probably stop coming to letsrun if they actually tried to make it look like the New York Times front page.
I like the logo but it is BADLY pixelated.
One thing that I really like about the new front page that nobody has commented on is the front page archive. That's pretty cool. I'd also like them to expand the 'Training Advice' section. I'd really like to see something by John Kellogg detailing his approach to high-low training. It would sure beat sifting through old message board posts.
Subforums? NO WAY! Keep the old-school BBS style. There shouldn't BE a non-running forum because this is a running website. Go somewhere else to talk about the economy or your girlfriend.
I thought the only thing that needed redesigning was the links to articles with the Brojos' mini commentaries, and the only thing that should be absolutely left alone was the logo and quote of the day being up at the very top. The new home page seems to have done the opposite.
The new front page is terrible. The old one looked and read much smoother. When I first saw the new one I seriously thought it was a joke. It looks like something a high school kid came up with at the last minute before the assignment was due.
Who cares about the design. Enjoy the content. f
He reminds me of Franklin Sanchez, but he is a bit faster. I wonder if his career will last longer; I hope so.
