Pre-reqs are pretty basic. The "Kinesiology" program used to require undergrad exercise physiology, kinesiology, etc. Now with the new combined program, I do not believe those specific pre-reqs do not exist for the moment, though that may change. We have had people from many other fields (pscyh, counseling, etc.) come in. I personally feel it is considerably harder for people that have no background in anatomy or physiology, but people do get by.
As far as an hour away from Scranton, I agree... There isn't a whole lot out here compared to some areas of the state/country. But there is still a decent amount in the area as far as shops, restaurants, etc., and Philly and NYC are within a 2.5 hour drive.
