I have a video Dellinger did for the T&F series that says he had Chapa doing 40-50 miles a week when he went to Oregon. Wasn't that about half of his high school mileage?
i find that one hard to fathom....he pinkowski and keogh banged out big mileage back in hammond....
malmo? you were there during the chapa years...40 to 50 sounds way low. maybe bill did not count the a.m. stuff.
Very few of Dellingers athletes did what Bill told them to. Fifty miles a week might be what a Dub Meyers or a Matt McGuirk did, most everyone else did more - much more.
That's what I figured, but, it was on the video which I found very out of sync with everything I've ever heard and read. I thought it would be weird to see a mid-28 10k guy go from 100 to 50 in the HS/Univ transition. I was just curious.
