Hi Flagpole. What you are describing is called age discrimination. It is not any cooler than if you were to say that black and female coaches should be denied these jobs. If Dr. Daniels is healthy and motivated, he should be encouraged to continue pursuing his passions.

No it isn't age discrimination. I didn't say to FORCE the guy not to have a job. I'm all for people working if they want to and can. I just said I don't feel all that sorry for him that he lost his job. Sorry, but when deciding to do things FOR people, you have to decide who is most deserving (because you CAN'T help everyone ESPECIALLY in today's economy), and a 75 year old guy who seemingly has made some coin in his day is NOT on the top of my list to help or feel sorry for.

You are promoting the idea that his being age 75 makes him less worthy of the job. That is all.

If you're serious about keeping JD in Flag then one of you in Flag should give him your house.

He is less worthy. Otherwise they wouldn't have to beg for money for him to survive.

Greg McMillan started an elite group in the same town and has found a way to pay the bills.

As far as having a daughter that is still in high school. Maybe a 55 year old man should have done the math when he made the decision to have a child.

Not sure what the news is, but I got a refund via paypal on the money I sent to Daniels. Here is the explanation:

Things are turning around and it looks like the Daniels family will be able to stay in Flagstaff, so he doesn't feel right about accepting it. Thanks for your kindness and generosity.
