Well, in other sports many athletes have advantages over others. Pro tennis players often go to elite camps at young ages, like the Bolliterri camp.
Two athletes didn't go to that camp: The Williams sisters. They played in beaten up courts in the ghetto. Instead of complaining about what they didn't have, they just got better and beat the people with the advantages.
Many Kenyan runners (especially those back in the day, 60's, 70's, and 80's) grew up in poverty, some in huts. They just went out and defeated the American runners routinely, the U.S. runners who had collegiate scholarships and various coaches.
The best revenge is by winning. I don't care what advantages Rupp has, more power to him. He still didn't win the NCAA X-C title or the trials 10K title, and my guess is the runners who beat him weren't complaining about his so-called advantages.
They just defeated him.
