I agree with another poster that you are attempting to compare an apple (you) with an orange (Lance).
You don't seem to have a lot of professional commitments and I'd guess that you are still married. Lance has an enormous amount of professional commitments and is not still married. So you want to compare yourself to him in some way to justify…your supreme daddyness?
This is clearly flawed in many, many ways. Even you must see this. I'm much like you in many ways, I'm married, I run or swim at 5 am, I tuck my kids in every night and wake them up in the morning. My weekends are spent making sure my little guys will be competing with the Kenyans by age 20 (yes I've got them on baby doses of EPO). I work a lot more than you but that is out of necessity rather than desire.
Where we differ is that I don't care what Lance does, says or implies. Why should I? I love my gig. So my question to you is why do you care? Do you feel slighted or think that your "sacrifices" come at a cost higher than Lance appears to be paying?
Now the better question would be, "If I could, would I trade my life with Lances?"
