How many times can she work the MSU administration like that? She already makes $70,000 for being an assistant distance coach there. What is job role with Drenth being there as well?
Is it better to be a head coach at Miami (OH) which will basically be CC only and MAC conference or an assistant in the Big 10?
Rita had the montana job offered to her and just turned it down because she wants the Miami job. Unless MSU comes back with something ridiculous to keep her around, she will be the next coach at Miami.

Miami would also have to be amenable to this.
Miami is still working out the final details, but as of now Rita will be hired
My guess is that the MAC coaches are jumping for joy. They were probably worried someone who could actually coach, like Scott Jones, was going to be hired. Miami will be mediocre under Arndt. She is just a nice trophy wife coach.
Rita hasn't spent much time with great coaches but she is smart and will find her way. She knows that the secret to success is to hire skilled coaches. She doesn't have blind ambition. She will do whatever it takes to be ultra-successful and she knows she will need good coaches to do that.
There is another candidate interviewing next week so I don't think a decision has been made yet.

Considering the post above said that another candidate will be inteviewing next week, and it is still Sunday, I doubt there are any updates to be posted. Not many updates are announced over the weekend. Perhaps this week we will finally find out. Hopefully it will be someone who can finally do something with that program. If you look at Miami's recruiting, year in and year out, they used to bring in solid recruiting classes in all event areas. I remember coaching in that conference and always thinking that their classes each year would bring the team to the top but, somehow, they usually managed to under-perform. They weren't bad by any means but the recruiting classes didn't match the output that resulted. This is only speaking of the women's team. Their men have their own problems because of limits from the athletic department. For a distance coach, Miami is a great situation....great academics and a lot of trails and rolling hills. Only major draw back....still no indoor track and they do get Ohio weather.

no. but you will notice the moderators have pulled the thread about her and the mystery person yet leave the thread about john edwards up. yeah, there is a difference but seems like her thread may have some truth to it.
It is confirmed that Coach Molis is taking the Miami job. It is listed on their website under new hires. She has e-mailed our team and said she would be on campus early next week to start her job.
sounds like she might be going by Coach Arndt pretty soon
How do you know she makes 70k as an assistant at MSU? I couldn't access the MSU employee salary site but I saw on the Michigan site that Warhust went from 73k to 80k just this year. Could she really be making 70k and if so how much does Drenth make? Warhurst must be pissed.

she was not making 70, heck, 55 at most. Miami salaries aren't that good either. They usually pay low.
no way she made 70k at msu, absolutely no way. When they brought in Walt they paid him less than that, he took a huge paycut from asu
