I haven't ordered from them in over a year. I wear Vitruvians.

Ignorance is what roadrunnersports is all about. both customers and employees. As far as rivaling Roadrunner's prices, everyone can beat them flat out. Some genius in the corporate office thought it would be a great idea to raise the prices of the shoes 2 dollars. Adrenalines and 2130's are 98 bucks, 95 elsewhere. Every single shoe is 2-3 dollars above everyone else. They have to do this due to the money crunch that was created by over-expansion, and their employment of many mentally retarded people at the Supervisor and Manager positions.
Hard work and running knowledge mean nothing at that company.
And yes, if you are getting a 120 dollar shoe for 60 bucks, then you have nothing to worry about, but I don't think anyone is complaining about RRS for no reason. They employ greasy weasels, they find ways to rip you off, they are there simply to vaccuum out all of the money from your wallet. Period. So anyone that complains that they have been ripped off by Roadrunner has a valid point.
Keep bringing your shoes back after 45 days for a new pair, and keep letting people use your name when they buy shoes. That 5 pairs get the 6th free is going to ruin that company. Along with the fact that they hire people that ride the short bus to work
I'm sure they will find some way to get rid of the buy 5 get one free deal. Maybe they will reinvent the run America club and charge $30 more to join it making you a level above the VIP. I got to the point that I never even ordered on the phone bc I wanted to scream when they asked for the 4th time if I wanted socks!!!
After hearing about all the bad corporate choices they have made I wonder if the money they collected ever went to the disabled kids that they featured on their covers.
VIP membership: 10% off + always can find extra 10% off coupon online. Plus pair of free shoes after buying 5. Plus free shipping which has never taken more than 2 days in many years. Plus can return no questions asked within 60 days. The math: 6 pairs of $100 shoes for about $440 or $$73 per pair. How does that suck. In addition, you can't return shoes to Holabird if youv'e so much as breathed on them.
Read the thread from the start... It sucks if you already paid the one time life membership and suddenly were dropped to RAC.
It always amazes me the level maturity I find on these things and for that I feel I need to respond. Road Runner Sports opened in my town about 3 years ago and they have been great for the community. Ironically, they opened a few blocks from another local running shop. The first thought I had was great, the small guy is going to suffer. Interestingly, adding a new shop in this market didn't seem to hurt the small guy. In fact, because of Road Runner coming to town, there is a new running group with a certified coach that is free, several races that had been retired due to lack of sponsor support were added back to the running scene and now people have a choice of where to shop. Competition is good for the market. Service in this local shop is 10 times better than it was in the past and the local shop charged more for most of their shoes. Now they have similar prices and service levels. That being said, I can't seem to find a connection to hairy genitals, management and running stores.

Uh, certified in WHAT by WHOM? You risk all of your credibility (not to mention maturity) on this topic by including a phrase like that.
I could go with the current level a maturity here and say certified by "your ma," but to help clarify things I will tell you that there are several certifications for coaching in the sport of running. Here are a few:
The most widely recognized:
-USATF(several levels of certification available)
http://www.usatf.org/groups/Coaches/education/
More common are club certifications:
-RRCA Certification -
http://www.rrca.org/programs/coaching/
High School Coaches Association Certifications:
-WIAA Coaches School
http://www.wiaa.com/programs/coachschool02.htm
In case you are wondering, the coach at this local store has a USATF certification as well as a WIAA certification.

Yet you still went through composing such a gratuitous post when all that was needed was the final sentence.
Hi everyone, you can count on Road Runner Sports to honor the terms of your Lifetime RAC membership or address any concerns you may have. Just give our Customer Service department a call at 800-662-8896 or email us at listening@roadrunnersports.com. Happy Running--Jennifer at Road Runner Sports
I called and customer service couldn't connect me to Jennifer. They also won't honor the lifetime free shipping. If I would like I could sign up for the VIP which automatically charges my credit card unless I remember in 12 months to cancel :(

Why would you ever buy from them in the first place? They suck.
Take it easy Phil, they carry Nike.
My daughter goes to school with a disabled child who was given a hand bike by Roadrunner Sports. He and his family were very blessed and appreciative of everything Roadrunner did for them. They made a dream come true for a little boy who is now able to ride bikes with his twin brother and mom and dad, something he was not able to do prior to the generous donation from Roadrunner.
Sweet, so all I gotta do is find me a disabled child, give him a hand bike, and all will be forgiven. If only I had known this sooner!
God bless them for doing that.
