NE section of this country has and always will be the sport's fans mecca. We have it all. We always have and always will.
We look at western coast as fair weather fans.
Sounds like you fit the western mold.

haha i agree about the apple cup. its the state championship
Man, we'll always have the mariners '95 season though...it's been worth it just for that...and I was like 9.
Seahawks WOULD have won the superbowl if the refs hadnt handed the game away and the sonics had a good run for awhile...I am crying though becuase they are leaving for shit hole ok city...we've had Junior and Edgar and Payton and Frank Brykowski...there've been some good times in there with the bad...Hawks have won 4 straight division crowns and put themselves in a good position every year...the M's have a good young core that is just missing some pieces (fire McLaren for starters) Ichiro can still play...brush away those rain clouds and look at the sun alittle...

I haven't been a fan of Seattle sports since they traded Shawn Kemp.
I'm sure he still has plenty of kids in Seattle.
Just head down to Blazer games next year. Oden, Aldridge, Roy, Webster, and when the draft Kevin Love it's going to be the greatest thing since sliced cheese.
The Mariners have blown a 5-0 lead with "ace" Erik Bedard on the mound. What a joke.
Good bye, Sonics. How sad to lose the only pro team to win a championship.
Thanks for the kind words...
I'm here in Eugene at the Trials, and this brought a smile, even if the Oklahoma City Raiders made me feel like I got kicked in the gonads today.
Let's see ... the Seahawks, zero wins. The UW, zero wins. Wazzu, zero wins. The Mariners ... closing in on 100 loses with a $100 million payroll. The Sonics, bye-bye.
Very sad indeed.
try being a Buffalo fan
then get back to me
The Niners just took them to overtime
Take the Niners as your new team.

Buffalo kicked some Seahawk ass just last Sunday.

I'm tired of this misconception. NE fans are just as big of fair weather fans as you can get. A few years before the Red Sox won the world series, Fenway Park had one of the lowest attendance (I know it's a small park, but still...) in the AL. I believe it was 12th out of 14th. The M's are almost going to lose 100 games this season and they still are top 5 in attendance.
It's easy to sell out your games when you win. NE fans (Well Boston and NY anyways) are not better fans. The best fans usually come from smaller cities that have one team (like Buffalo, hockey doesn't count), or that are constantly having to fight to keep their teams in the city (like Seattle).
Wazzu loses 69-0. UW loses to the Beavers. Seahawks lost to Tampa Bay. Two wins between the three teams.
Sonics move to OKC. Mariners lose 101 games.
Only thing going right is the Husky women XC team.
Hopefully 2009 is better... I'm not sure how it can be any worse than 2008.
I love Seattle.
