Did they drop some of the athletes names from the accepted list? I noticed Kelly Young from Utep was running pretty well and I didn't notice her name on the ladies 1500 list.

This is a development race for Teg, Solinsky, Symmonds... I am not sure why the standard is the target and hence they they will be aiming for it this early (look what they ran in Arizona, that is a big jump).
I would look for the winner of the second heat to be in the top seven overall. Even that heat with Riley, Richardson, O'Keefe, and others should be very quick.
Not including guys who will displace from heat 2...
Sullivan
Lomong
Lukezic
Bromley
Teg
Brown/Pifer
Solinsky/Heath/Miller/Symmonds
And the rest
I dont expect anything faster than 339 for Teg, which is right where he shold be right now.
Lomong
Sullivan
Symmonds
Lukezic
I say 3:37 wins this, with a few in the 3:38 range!
Symmonds
Chris Solinsky told me he would be trying to get the "A" standard at this meet, so it will not be just a build-up for the 5K for him.
I saw Bromley run a Mt Sac, was way too far back. Should be better on Sunday night. I expect him to run around 3.37 and be close to the front.Lomong/Teg/Solin will be at the front.
Winner 3.36.high.
Winner of B race will be Riley. Thats if he isnt up graded into the top section.
that will be one of the surprises of stanford
he WILL get it

Thanks for the info.
Just heard that they are planning on mixing the A and B heats of the 1500 together to create two equal and totally watered down races. I was excited to see the best race eachother. Who can I complain to about this?
Having 2 heats is better. Before, there were 16 1n the top heat which is really too many. At the same time there were some very good runners relegated to the second heat. This way there will be two great races with plenty of room for everyone.
Also, Russell Brown will either be at or very near the front of his heat. Guaranteed.
so i guess that i will change my predictions since they split it into 2 heats...
heat 1:
Lomong
Sully
Symmonds
Solinsky
Leer
heat 2:
Teg
Riley
Lukezic
Brown
Pifer
i think my heat 1 would have happened were it not for the fall.
heat 2 wasn't so hot. i don't know what happened to riley and i overestimated pifer while underestimating aj
you didnt overestimate Pifer, he had a bad race, that happens you know. he had been serving people includin AJ. anyway on to the next round.
Both races sucked...
It was a disappointing event at the meet. Guys ran okay, but had potential to be a great couple of races
Americans in domestic races never run fast at 1500! They don't push the pace or they back off to much! 3:40 for these guys is terrible
