Lebron will easily beat Kobe to youngest to 20,000. Come on, both guys came straight out of high school. (Lebron was scoring 20 a game his first year) Who gives a f*** about that? Wilt averaged 50 points a game, Jordan was in the mid to high 30s a few seasons. Much better than either Lebron or Kobe. I would still take Lebron if I had to choose between the two, he does way more for his teammates and I think in a few years he will add a few championships.

1. Small sample sizes are worthless.
2. Look at who else is hurt on that team.
3. LeBron might as well play with 11 Girl Scouts. His supporting cast is terrible. Nobody even close to being a "good" player. Ilguaskas is only thought of to be decent based on the relative dearth of quality big men. Nobody on that team can consistently hit jump shots. A lot of guys can do one thing well, but cant do much beyond that.
4. That being said, Kobe is still better, but not by much. LeBron is developing the killer instinct needed to wrestle the title away from Kobe. Also, look at the way LeBron shut down Kobe in one on one situations. Impressive. Difference being: Kobe's supporting cast is a bit less impotent than LeBron's. Let's not forget that the Lakers got off to a good start last year, then limped into the playoffs only 2 games over .500. Bynum has made strides, yet he is only a 13 pt 10 rebound guy.

Jordan also had Scottie Pippen for some of his championships. And he was considered the 2nd or 3rd best player in the league at the time. So although he's not a center like Shaq, he was obviously making a huge impact in helping the Bulls win.

FIRST-as someone said before, way to small of a sample--go take a stats class and then come back
SECOND-look who they were playing!!!!!!!! kobe hit a game winner against the sonics, and the lakers blew out the nuggets (a good team)
their losses were to the SUNS, MAVS, SPURS, and CAVS...and every one of those games was quite close
THIRD- i don't care how good kobe is, if you take away Bynum, Ariza, Vlad, and Sasha,... four of their key players (though obviously Bynum being the most important) ... you are going to lose more!!!

Lebron is in his 4th year. He has already taken his team to the finals (pretty much by himself). Bryant won his first title in 2000, averaging 22 points a game on a team where Shaq was the league MVP and was averaging almost 30 a game. Jordan didn't win his first championship (hell, he didn't even make the finals) until his 7th year in the league and it took getting Horace Grant and Scottie Pippin to get them over the hump. Please stop all this bullshit about Lebron not winning the championship yet, he is a great player who will get one in time.
I think in a few years he will add a few championships.

You must not have remembered that they were picked 3rd in a weak conference and ended up in the national championship game in a rebuilding (reloading) year.
What does Kobe's 3 rings have to do with Lebron now being the better player? Kobe has been regarded as the best player the last few years, but Lebron's defense and overall play has improved so much that he is now the best player. After playing one of the greatest games of all time last year against the pistons, and bringing his team back 18 times to win in the fourth quarter this year, you would have to be beyond ignorant to say Lebron does not want to win as bad as anyone else in the league.
That LeBron is a loser staying in Cleveland. If he's really better than Kobe he should capitalize on it and join the Lakers or the Clippers. Hollywood is where all the big stars are. L.A. is the track and field, College/Pro/Worlds/Olympics sports capitol of the world, and the world symbol of the United States.

Without Lebron, the Cavs lose 5 straight. With Lebron they've gone 13-3 their past 16 games, playing as good as anybody. Now without Lebron again, they're getting doubled up by one of the worst teams in the league. Lebron single handedly takes an otherwise terrible team and makes them serious contenders. That sounds like a good definition of an MVP to me.
