ritz in great north half marathon sunday

First time poster, too long of a time listener on this thread. So keep that in mind.

Everyone should simmer down until the Trials are over. The Webb vs. Ritz comparisons are fun...in the same spirit that debating which Rocky movie was the best is fun...and stupid. In the end, it's inconsequential until they both toe the line in an event that has some AR or medal consequence/potential.

Some people don't want to be A-list runners, believe it or not, their opinions can still be every bit as interesting as those who actualy run 140 miles a week. Just because some guy isn't going to the Trials doesn't mean he can't voice an opinion.

Ritz is a big boy who chose the path to the allergy infested, rain soaked Pacific Northwest in hopes of finding a new beginning. Well, not completely new, being as that other guy went with him. Some posts about Ritz, and his coach are critical and disappear. Others wind up bumped by his own entourage, as they espouse the glory of the "group." I'm in marketing, I get it. No problem.

I root for Ritz. I hope he wins the Great North run. Why not? I root for Webb. I felt bad for the guy at the WC's. I root for everyone but the Yankees in the postseason. I routinely curse the tv when a pitching change that I don't agree with is made, but I don't have any wish to coach baseball...or runners.

The sad thing is that this board has manifested into what it is...a nitpicking, backstabbing, orgy of idiots. I miss the Grote poll. I miss TNFmedia and Schieffer and Grote. I want BK to come out of retirement like Michael Jordan, only not suck. That would be cool. I miss the days of Larry Bird, and I hate the bling-swinging take-an-extra-step and not get a whistle talent that occupies todays NBA.

That's sports though. And culture. The references to Britney in here are funny. Letsrunners want Letsrun to be US Weekly, not Sports Illustrated. They want to know if Ritz is fat, if Hudson and a Baldwin brother were at the track, if Webb's hair is real, and if he's dating a playmate. They also want splits from workouts.

This post may well be deleted. So may this thread. Because criticism reigns throughout. That's cool. I won't be on here checking. Wejo gave the keys to the car to a bunch of moderators and individuals a long time ago. Too bad.

Everyone should just shut the hell up. Wishful thinking right? P.S. I'll be in NYC, watching with a beer and a hot dog, and that will be fun. But what about Ritz's hair? Thinning?

Ritz's wife had their baby yesterday (Sept. 28), so my guess is this means he's not running.

Any results from this...did Ritz run? How did Rohat do?

Didnt spot him on the start line or in the race so take it he didnt race.

i dont see how that reflects him being cocky, just that he thinks geb is amazing.

As of this minute, he's not entered, and I'd be very surprised if he runs.
