I was pretty impressed with how serious Carlson could be in that role. Yewer was a pretty decent runner by ETSU/SoCon standards (Ray Flynn not withstanding), though I raced him more during his post-ETSU tour when he was not quite in his peak form.
Yewer was a 3:46, 14:teens runner if I remember right. That puts him better then most runners not just SoCon runners. Plus ETSU has had something like 10 sub 4 minute milers. So if he is up to there standards he is doing well.

This is why Flotrack is so great. Not only does it give coverage to events and interviews to athletes we wouldn't normally see, but it gives us an idea of the personalities of the athletes. Who would have guessed that in their down time, that group of people would have traveled an hour to get to a waffle shop or how hallarious Andrew Carlson is. This Europe blog is amazing and I hope Mark contiues to do things like this.
Yes, announcer Andrew Carlson and sidekick Ryan Hall were (intentionally) hysterical, but only because parodying cliches doesn't require much talent. And whoever was shooting the footage needs more practice. Just goes to show that what Flocasts/Floreani makes look easy is actually not.
As for the race itself, isn't it curious that the top three finishers were within a second of each other. It certainly makes for a dramatic finish, but I suspect somebody (who?) was sandbagging. Was this race fixed?!
Next year they need a rabbit or two. What could Deena take it out in?
Are you being serious? Because man...Flotrack is it. I have really enjoyed all of the coverage of the summer and am looking forward to what they will be bring us next. Plus, when are you going to see athletes being stupid and having fun. That was an awesome video. I am just happy these people have personalities.
