Has won every mile and 1500 he has raced this year right?
And looks like he runs as hard as late as he has to to win.

I really do not know what folks want at this point.

Come on, this is Letsrun. Right now he's the biggest story in American track. If he bombs at World's, you can rest assured that he will "suck" again and there will be someone else to fill his shoes.

Actually not a lot of Kenyans or people for that matter have run faster than him. Only in fact 24 other people have. That is something to get excited about.
Kenya does have quite a thorough domination in the majority of the distance events though.
Of those 23 ahead of Webb, 10 are Kenyan.
In any other country, aside from Kenya, Webb would be at the worst #3 AT. Only a few countries have 2 guys ahead of him, Algeria, Morocco, Great Britain, and the US.
Webbs time puts him up with a lot of people who have won some type of Olympic or World Championship hardware, national record holders, world record holders, and shows he can possibly go faster in other events.
I've always been a Webb fan, but a lot of people seemed unsure of his abilities as a 1500m runner at the world level. This time and this race show that he has the ability to run with close to anyone [ever].
how many guys born in america have run 3:30? ever? damn right that is something to be excited about. i also think that he has been more scrutinized than any other american runner, ever. with the internet, the crap that webb has had to endure has been much more severe than anything ryan dealt with. hopefully he will keep it cranking through next year and beyond.
How many North American born runners have run 3:30! I know in America since the settlements in Jamestown and Plymouth no person has run that fast.
Webb will be the fastest Anglo-American miler since Cram and Coe. Maybe the glory days of Coe and Cram will now be repeated in the US a quarter century later.

So what? It means he is one of the best in the world and perhaps a World Champion and or Word championship medal winner. Thats more than US Track and Field has done in awhile.
If Webb wins at the World Championships the whole balance of world mile running power will change. All the great are now getting old and Webb is the new generation. I am sure Kenya will have a new sensation soon.
I believe the 3:45 mile will be Webbs next great feat!

I pretty sure Mr. Lagat could do this, given his 5K times and 1500 times. Webb *does* have unbelievable range, but so does Lagat.

Every time someone brings something like that(Webb Range) up, someone says "Well Lagat or so and so COULD do that".
Well they did not, and have had many more years to do so, so it is ridiculous to say they could have or would have done this OR that, it matters not.
To take it a step further, if Mottram never ran a 10000, people would be saying that he could easily go sub 27 (and maybe he still could). The fact is that he has run 27:50 and Webb has run 27:34.
The 2 mile fiasco proves he doesnt have the endurance base - Webby's peak was Paris all downhill from now on guys... in 3 rounds he'll be toast
