Hey right at 41 ys old I have a speed indurance program. I do 3x 250s in 29 to 31 sec my 150s are 16 high.

I've been doing 6 x 12 seconds all out up a hill for about two months now - I can feel a huge improvement in my speed and efficiency. I have PRd at each XC race I've done since I started. (I'm in my 40s). I got the idea from Renato Canova - his theory is that you have to use your fast twitch muscles if you want to improve them. I do these around 3 times per week in the middle of a regular easy run. 200 meters is much longer, but I think the benefit would be the same.
An aside: Makes me wonder how many suburban white kids could be great sprinters if they would just train for it.
