We need some direct proof not just newpaper articles.
Regina Jacobs was one of the biggest con artists in the history of sports.

She is shitty and mean. I remember that Shayne Culpepper got to go to the Olympics after regina decided to drop out. But for several months Shayne Culpepper had to live with being 4th in the trials, she may not have trained very much, and then got the news that she was in the games right before the games were to start. That is mean and unfair.
I've always found the use of the word "ethnic" to be quite funny. As if white people are void of ethnicity.
More to the point, though, the response they issued to the letter of complaint is hard to believe. Totally, utterly unbelievable.

You should look at Regina Jacobs as being one of the greatest con artists and frauds in sport history. Honoring her in any way is an egregious mistake. The message you promote to young African-Americans is that lying and cheating are acceptable. Any honest person, not to mention all of your previous inductees, would be insulted to be in the same hall of fame as Regina Jacobs. Maybe some day you won't be so totally a-twitter over skin color and ethnicity but instead, you set up some minumum character standards for those you intend to honor.
Mary Decker was inducted into the Distance Running HoF in Utica, NY in 2003.
