Last year I had 34 and this year I hope to hit 3 as I have 2 1/2 right now but plan on getting another 1/2 mile in before the year ends. During the early 70's I was running 2000-2500 per year. How far have I fallen??

Shortest run 4 miles.
At 39 y.o. I'm slowing down, racing less, but enjoying it more.

I had some injuries, but still managed to run PRs of 57.8 (400), 2:08 (800), 4:21 and 4:42 (1500 and mile), 16:29 (5000) and 27:17 (8k). Hopefully I stay healthier next year and get up to 2500 or so.
2,349 so far plus a 10 miler later today. By far the most miles in a single year for me. It was well worth it with a new 5K pr, 1/2 pr and sub 3 hour marathon for the first time.
2,500+ miles in 2007 with a sub 2:45 marathon.

After todays crappy 14 miler I finished with 2215. Pr's at 1 mile, 8k, 10k, half, and full marathon. Not bad for a 39 father of 3.

3785 miles, 365 days running, 360 training sessions and 5 races total. Graduated from college before the internet came on the scene as well. Make the most of your running while you have the ability and talant!

3413 miles. Not sure how many races. A good chunk of time off for a bad hip injury and a foot injury (both from accidents running and playing frisbee).
First two half-marathons with a 1:15:31 and 1:11:44.
Ran 15:41 and 15:40, close to my track 5k PR of 15:29 off of some moderate 40-50 mile weeks coming off my injury.
4014 miles, pretty much PRed at every distance I attempted this year...all PRs from 2003 when I ran 4000 even. The years in between were 3200-3500. I see a pattern....
I doubt I'll ever top that, life is getting busy. Hopefully I can finish my marathon goals and move back to 5k-HM concentration...

missed a little over three months due to a stress fracture and another month or so due to a bad mx crash.
i missed 40% of the year, yep, i only ran a little over 200 days this year.
on the bright side, it explains why i am running so horrible :)
here is to a better 2007, turning 40 in june so i have the proper motivation!!

Very disappointing end to the year, as I have an ankle problem that is limiting me to ~30 mpw. If I can't get it fixed somehow (doesn't seem inclined to go away on its own, with or without time off) then my streak of consecutive 3000-mile years may come to an end at eight. Not a bad streak, but if I can't ever stay healthy enough to 4000 I'll be pissed.
Did get 10m and half PRs this year at least, so that's something.
