You must be thinking of someone else. He's actually not that great at cross country.
Are you thinking of Ahmed Haji of Providence?

This isn't the last laugh. It's the laugh du jour.
That said, I'm smiling, because Said's from the same high school as me.
Ahmed now has a faster PB than Lunn too.
Lunn's got a bunch of national championships though.
said is also 9 years younger then lunn. he has one ncaa championship with the dmr this year, many will disagree with this but he should have another one for the dmr but officials thought otherwise, and i believe had he not gotten injured last spring he would have destroyed manzano and won the ncaa 1500. but said is still very young and america will see some great things this talented young man.

A bunch? List 'em. A few, maybe. Some, maybe. A bunch, no.
is Ahmed a bonafide Amerian or import like Lagat? Mind you, Lagat will never represent the USA in the Olympics as he is afraid of being caught for epo. He will be injured in 2008..........
He's a graduate of Boston English HS. How far back do you have to go before you're a bonafide American? Birth? Age six? Age 12? You tell me, cause I want to know.

Seriously, age 8 is about right. Leaves enough time to get aculturated to baseball, etc......... Let me guess, he came over as a 20 yr old and they stuck him in with the high schoolers?!

Holy shit, they only test the American athletes? I'm off to Canada, see you guys on the medal stand.
Oops, you're a f***ing idiot.

YO DUFUS, THEY TESTED LAGAT RIGHT BEFORE THE LAST OLYMPICS AND HE FAILED FOR EPO......NIKE HAD BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT STAKE SO THEY GOT HIM BACK IN.......SAY HELLO TO BEN JOHNSON FOR ME WHEN YOU HIT CANADA, EH?
Said came over the the US from Somalia as a war refugee when he was pretty young (before high school). Between doing that and then carving out a nice niche for himself and gaining a scholarship to a major university, I'm not really sure how you could live the American dream any more fully.
On top of all that, he's a really nice guy, so I'm a fan.
But he's not the best high school distance runner from Boston English. Who was?

Who cares, but did they know their REAL ages? You see, if someone bops over here sans birth certificate they have to run TAC/AAU or whatever they call it nowadays. Only fair.
Salazar. But Ahmed wasn't really a distance runner was he? Also, pretty soon, little Taye will take over all the existing distance records in high school, as well as the school records.

Alberto was a real American...His family left that commie maniac Castro to come to the USA. His brother attended the Naval Academy...Will the Somalis pay their dues?

If you can give me even a single link talking about this, I would be impressed.
