Yah, I agree with you. Did you play a part in the movie
called Waterboy?
AJ runs 3:58.8.
You are clearly on drugs. The best he can possibly do is 3:59.2
GO AJ!!!
That's a great list of local runners. Lord knows half of them have beaten me at one time or another.
Good Luck to AJ and the others.
Hate to be a pessimist, but no.
Which Mercado will DNF?
magness ran 909 because he ran it one time that whole year. it was first race of the season, his coach told him he had to run one that year, and he did, so u can throw that otu the window. u really thing a 151/401mile guy could on handle 909? ur retarded
aj is not magness, he wont break it
especially not in that field, im sorry but its far too weak for a HSer to break 4.
webb was last to do it...the winner ran 350 mile, not with a pr of 350 for 1500.
my guess is low 4, maybe 402
which is unfortunate for t&f
Both
4:03 the field is clearly not good enough.
any1 know they kep splits AJ will shoot for?
how about 60, 1:59(59), 3:00(61), 3:58-9(58-9)
he can handle that...corry primm can bring the field around to 158-9...and then asmeron(spelling) can take it through 1200...and then its all up to aj to finish it.

Just as a note, Sallberg ran his 4:04 mile SIX years ago, when he was just an 8:39 steepler. Now, with his 8:28 last week,...
AJ WILL BREAK 4, just not in this meet nor will it be in the next 2-3 years. This much I GUARANTEE. This punk can not do it.
8:46 =/= 3:59

It would be hilarious if he ran 4:00.00
yes it would be...and it will.
He's in shape to run 3:56something, but he's not in a fast rabbited GP meet in europe and he obviously doesn't have the drive someone like Webb or EL G does, and the competition is not going to pull him along, they're going to push him something totally different and usually slower. He'll be lucky to run 4:01-02. If he goes faster then I'd still be sceptical, just not as much.
How can you possibly know he's in 356 shape. do you have any concept of the difference between even 404 and 356? it's incredible. I think the kid has the talent, and may very well be in shape. the field does look a bit weak for a sub four, but hey, stranger things have happened. maybe if he gets it, which i hope he does, it will calm things in his world.
He's in good enough shape to break it but its twice as hard to do when its your only goal. He needs someone out in front to chase so I hope they rabbit at least 1:56. Even at that he better be right on the shoulder.
has magness broken 4 yet?
The race is at 9pm at Mt. SAC and admission is free. I hope that everyone in the area makes it out to cheer. I heard that they want to fill the infield with spectators and get a really good loud crowd there. I hope to be able to make it myself. So, if you are in the LA area consider heading out to Mt. Sac for some entertainment tonight.
as much as a punk this acosta seems, i really hope he breaks 4 minutes. america needs to have a kid breaking 4 every couple years or so. He has run some excellent time this year.
As for the field, while it may not be the kind where he will be "hoovered" to a sub 4, those guys are capable of keeping a sub 4 pace for 1200. He just needs to stay even and then the last lap is on himself.
I have tried to be a realist--and not to judge--more along the lines of being objective.
I don't know why--and I admit--I have no data to support this--but I say that the kid makes it. 3:59.6 . . . . . .
If he does make it--I hope that he handles the situation in a graceful, humble manner. That would do a lot to, at the very least, get things going in the right direction.
