Following the lead of the owners. After the World XC Champs in Tallahassee, the owners didn't run in any of the community races that were offered on the XC course. Instead, they organized a bar party while the community races were happening! I kid you not.
Some people ran in the community races and still had time to get to the party. Some went to the party and ran in the races that were held on Sunday. I was with Craig Virgin when the community races started at the VIP tent and he made it to the party. Guess I missed a couple of beers. Time for two beers when I got to the party. Glad I missed Mask Off because I heard afterwards that he was in attendance.
There was a guy we all know who used to to spam here. He claimed that there were a ton of people who didn't run on the site. I never believed it. The actual number is probably vanishingly small.
Almost certainly that same poster who made this thread. His rationale was everyone would respect him as a coach if they were runners. Of course, that poster is crazy.

Yup. And others did the same thing as the the owners: just go to the party and not run in the community races on Saturday nor the club races on Sunday!

Judging by the changing up and down votes on OP you may be on to something. We must look for patterns in nature!
