Is it fair to assume that being from Trinidad, you are a black gentleman?
If so it would also be fair to assume that you know better than many about the injustice of racial sterotypes?
If so why do you make the comments you do? They're not funny or accurate.
My earlier reference was to no Brit breaking 1:45 THIS YEAR. The Moroccan Al Salhi ran 1:44.40 this weekend. As to Becky Lyne, she lost, by almost a full-second.
Webb could beat Crams mile record if he starts training like a normal professional. What the heck was he doing running a fast 10k. Apparently he was told he was risking injury. Now 2006 maybe a right off for Webb.
Webb is 1.9 seconds aways from Crams non-African mile record and he decides to bake his legs running 10ks. Maybe Webb can follow Ritz into injury hell and run a Marathon!
Why do Americans runners try to do it all at once. Stick with one event and master it. Webb's 3:48 mile is better than anything he can currently run in either the 5k or 10k. I knew when he got the 5k flu he would get injuried. Maybe visions of Mottram were dancing in his head. Despite Mottrams great season in 05 he still isn't ranked in the IAAF top 10 in the 5k. Webb was ranked 7th in the mile and 1500 in 2005.
US distance running will be better off if Webb sticks with the mile. Maybe he can run a 12:55 5k after he runs a 3:45 - 3:46 mile.
I am sure Lagat got a laugh when he found out Webb would be running a 10k.
Well, maybe Webb has learnt his lesson and will put away this silly notion he is a 5k runner. What is the point of be injuried trying to run distances you weren't mean't to run. You don'ts see Ritz deciding to become a miler.
Assuming, the great American pastime, you assumed there were wmd's in Iraq? Did you not? BTW, as usual, you assumed wrong about me.

I doubt Webb could break Cram's record even with injury free training and the right direction. Webb might have to bring his 800m pb to 1.44 before he runs 3.46, Cram ran a high 1.42 in his prime.
Both are great athletes. However, one cannot put their talent and achievements in the same sentence yet.
Cram was the best of an era, Webb is not yet.
UK middle distnace running looks to be on the up, there's still a long way to go, but there are definitely promising signs of a revival at 800m/1500m.

Welcome back to the Glory Days!!!!!!!!!!
Is this the real Sebastian Coe?
Freakin' sweet if it was, but if not, kinda pathetic that someone's gotta steal his name.

Of course it's the real Seb Coe.
What with organising the London 2012 Olympics i'm almost short of ways to occupy myself other than post provocative comments onto message boards
We all know Webb can equal Crams 3:46 mile, but there is something in the back of your mind that believes Webb will do something crazy and blow his chance. Moving up to run a 10k and that ridiculous kick at the World Championships are evidence of this. Instead of becoming the next "Pre" and setting US record why not concentrate on running a mile for the ages. Besides what do American records mean on the international stage.

I wouldn't go that far, unless you consider 1985-86 to be an era.
Webb will most likely do more nutty things, but he is talented enought to run 3:46. Heck he has run 3:48 at 22 years old. Most American milers don't peak until they are past 25.
I agree there was no excuse for the 10k debacle. You would think Webb would know his body better and not perform such a stunt. Any high school coach could have predicted an injury. He has now got a fast 10k under his belt and he is also baked for the rest of the summer. This at least will give Lukezic sometime in the limelight. I don't know what is up with Myers.
In the early 80s England owned both the 1500/mile and 800.
As for Webb he is talented but as sports illustrated stated he is erractic. Didn't they call him Mr. Inconsistency?

NICE, BUT YOUR REALLY GOOD ONES ARE ALL DOPED UP.....DID BARRY BONDS HIT A HOMER TODAY? DIFFERANT CONTINENT, SAME OLD CRAP.
You may have been born in T&T, but your ignorance was clearly cultivated in the USA.
You are discerning and wise. I came to the US under the Clinton administration, during the Lewinski scandal. I immediately became addicted to the Simpsons and Seinfeld, TV bacame a large part of my life...the rest is history. I am a loser.

Of course I was skeptical, I just wanted to cover my ass just in case, in the very small chance, it actually was.
Now that it's obvious you're nothing but an imposter, WTF?! How pathetic and insecure does someone have to be to steal someone else's name, much less one so recognizable?
There should be a law against this.
