Pac 10 results?

5k anyone?

You people amaze me. Rupp can't run the 10K at nationals unless Nike can pull it off. Afterall he was a pro and was paid and continues to be paid a lot of money and THEY got him eligible. Maybe Nike can buy his way to the starting line? It seems like if he was the almighty you people talk about he would have had the BALLS to take the race and get the NCAA qualifier. McDougal has the balls to do it solo!

I would give the 1-2 finish of USC (18 points)in the 800 to the distance points - even though many considering them long sprints or middle distance. Still my point/question was why so little distance points from the Ducks?

No talent. Arizona State and Arizona are the distance schools in the PAC-10. The University of Nike a Eugene serves only as a low cost test bed for Phil Knight's slave labor empire.

Last year, the ducks scored:

800: 3 points, Rodderick Dotts finished 6th, he graduated

1500: 0 points, no one was entered, presumably Logsdon or Rupp with their 4:01 mile pr's could have scored.

Steeple: 6 points, Brett Holts was 5th and Kyle Alcorn was 7th, Brett graduated and Kyle transfered to ASU

5000: 8 points, Galen Rupp was 4th and Eric Logsdon was 6th, Galen came back and finished 3rd this year, Eric graduated.

10000: 13 points, Galen was second and Logsdon was 4th, see above

Last year they scored 30 points in the 800 and up.

This year the ducks scored:

800: 4 points, Mike McGrath finished 5th

1500: 4 points, Mike Mcgrath finished 5th

Steeple: 5 points, Chris Winter finished 4th. Chris redshirted last year and ran 8:54.

5000: 6 points, Galen Rupp was third.

10000: 8 points, Galen Rupp was second

This year they scored 27 points in the 800 and up. They lost 17 points from either graduation or transfer, they gained 5 points from getting Chris Winter back from redshirt, they gained 1 point from galen placing 3rd in the 5k over finishing fourth last year, and they gained 8 points with the addition of Mike McGrath. I think that pretty much explains where the points from last year went.

I made absolutly no excuses, in fact I made a point in my post of simply stating the facts. I listed who scored what in which events last year and this year, then I accounted for what happened to last years points and where the extra ones came from this year. If you were familiar with my history of posts, you'd know that I am far from being a sympathetic Nike person. I spoke out several times in favor of Coach Smith last year and I beleive what happened because of the "Nike turds in Eugene" was a great shame, a blemish on the face of the Oregon Track Program, and something that several people should go down for. So, sory, but all I did was answer a question. And really, the points didn't dissapear too much, they only lost three points. If you wanna know where the title was lost, it was in the jumps, Oregon scored a total of zero in the long triple and high jumps, last year they had Leonidas Watson who I beleive was second in both the long and triple jumps. Those 16 points would have won the meet, instead the jumps were abysmal this year.

Wrong, Jeff Lindsey tied for 5th in the High jump with 4 others, giving the Ducks 2.5 points

sorry i meant 4 total, including lindsey, not 4 others, so 10 points were split 4 ways

Ok, so I didn't look too closely at the results, I knew Jeff had had a really bad year so I figured he didn't score. But still, the loss was in the vertical jumps.

Loser. Full of excuses. Your'e in a rut. Get out of Eugene, the meth haven of the northwest.

I can't find any PAC 10 pictures except a few on the Ducks site. Any other sites ?
