Is it true that Percy Cerutty could run a sub5 mile at 80 years of age?

I thought Percy was 79 when he died. All due respect to Tony Benson, but I'd bet against that.
Percy died at 80. At 72, he ran a mile in 6:56; at 76, 8:17; at 79, 9:43. On his 80th birthday, he ran 10:15.
Who is the oldest guy to go sub 5?
Jim Sorensen just ran 1:50 for 800m and he is 97 years old. But he doesn't post here.

Probably Derek Turnbull:
M65 ONE MILE RUN
World Record: 4:56.4 Derek Turnbull (NZL) 02/29/92
American Record: 5:22.0 Monty Montgomery (CA) 04/08/72
All-American Standard: 6:15
M70 ONE MILE RUN
World Record: 5:23.58 Siem Herlaar (NED) 07/16/99
American Record: 5:37.8 Charles Rose () 07/12/03
All-American Standard: 6:55
Sorry for the mix up. Yes, Ed. can run around 5:20-5:30 for 1500, which translates to about 5:40-5:50 for the 1 mile run.
Sorry, about that.
