I was at the Heps meet, and I think cyclistia was right. True went out very conservatively and didn't move up until late in the race, at which point macreery was long gone. True may have been able to outkick macreery had they been together, but then again mb True would have died and finished way back. He essentially ran for 2nd place in the last mile of the race. Anyway, great weekend for Macreery.
BTW, second heps meet in a row where Jimmy Wyner has caused an uproar. (He was DQ'd in indoor for pushing people) While this time he was not DQ'd, a few coaches protested him cutting off people in the 1500 trials. This guys is really drawing ire with everybody in the league. I wasn't there on Friday but heard about it. Did anyone see the incident and have anything to say?
