Ben False is a big fat fatty, he can't run no 5 minute mile. Stop giving him the attention he craves and he will go away.

Dantzer is going to win the 5k. It's going to come down to he last 200, and he's going to throw down a 28 and take it for the win.

that's certainly possible but the 5k is impossible to predict. a 28 last 200 may not win it if true or jaworski are in there. its equally possible that dantzer doesn't score.

Which ever race(s) Jaworski chooses to run, he will win. The battles for every point are going to separate Princeton, Dartmouth, Penn and Cornell. It begins tomorrow, hope a lot of people are watching....

Scherf was briefly injured (IT band) but has fully recovered and is training very well. She might attempt to run a record 10K time. She may set a fast early pace and test Bierbaum's fitness early in the race.

Prediction: If the temperature is in the low 60's at racetime, Scherf will break Bierbaum's IVY record of 32:44.

she "may" do that? if she's running, she will definitely do that. when have you ever known scherf to go out conservatively?

True will win the 1500 in what should be a pretty good race. He will also make his collegiate 5k debut which should be pretty decent. He won't be looking for a win, but I can see him jogging under 14:20.

how can you say true won't be looking for the win? this guy doesn't know what it means to run for 3rd or 4th. he knows one thing...winning. don't make me say i told you so when ben trashes the competition in the 5k tomorrow. he'll just run with the leaders and if it comes down to a kick (which it probably will) nobody will be able to hang with him.

Fair enough, you wouldn't ever need to tell me "I told you so" about Ben winning anything. I have shamelessly supported and rooted for Ben over the years... look back, I'll be one of the idiots saying Ben would win Footlockers, and I believe at one point said he'd break 4 in the mile... so far he's proven me right once and I've never been one to doubt him. I was just saying he will be focussing on the 1500 and whatever else happens, who knows?

the times were really messed up in the cornell splits for the 4 x8- uceny really split 2:05

I was at the Heps meet, and I think cyclistia was right. True went out very conservatively and didn't move up until late in the race, at which point macreery was long gone. True may have been able to outkick macreery had they been together, but then again mb True would have died and finished way back. He essentially ran for 2nd place in the last mile of the race. Anyway, great weekend for Macreery.

BTW, second heps meet in a row where Jimmy Wyner has caused an uproar. (He was DQ'd in indoor for pushing people) While this time he was not DQ'd, a few coaches protested him cutting off people in the 1500 trials. This guys is really drawing ire with everybody in the league. I wasn't there on Friday but heard about it. Did anyone see the incident and have anything to say?

Wyner was at the back of the pack entering the straightaway when he moved around the pack about 3 lanes wide then he cut in without giving the required clearance. At the end of the straight he also appeared to push someone.
