Wow, I think I have tears in my eyes.
dude, that girl he bagged was hot
At least they admitted it was fictionalized... that s*** was so far off from Bannister's account in his book. And who is this queer bag they got? If Bannister was anything like him all respect is gone...
The movie kind of drags in the beginning... but it really gets going after the olympics. I must say.. the 3:59 mile is done pretty well. They do a good job with that whole sequence. You really get into it, and after the time is announced you feel that you share the experience. Overall... it wasnt too bad off a running film for ESPN. Can't complain, how often do you see running on ESPN?
Good film
Did you cry during the Lion King?

hahaha
The actor ran funny, you could def tell he wasn't a real runner. It bothered me througout the whole movie. If you're going to do a movie about a runner, at least get a real runner to play the part.
Like any movie, did you expect it to be accurate?
The book is soooooo much better.
Listen. They actually made a movie about running. Be f***ing happy with that.
VERY TRUE! We can't complain

Jamie MacLachlan, the actor who played Bannister, played rugby & soccer in school, but didn't run. However, he said he did study films of Bannister to try to approximate his form. So maybe it's not the actors' form that sucks, it was Bannister's et al.

if you look at the real 3:59 race bannister has good form, is it possible to run that fast with bad form?
If you care about running, the last 15 minutes will move you, maybe even to tears. Up to that point, I thought it was a pretty piddling movie.
How does the movie end? Does he end up breaking four minutes?
No matter how crappy this movie is (I haven't seen it yet, but I am going to watch it in a few minutes) It can't even be close to the Michael Jordon movie that was made a few years ago.
This movie sucked so much. I never realized how much of a homo Bannister is. Nothing like pounding beers in between races to make up for the movie.
Typical of Letsrun. Constantly b**** about not enough being done for running then when someone like ESPN does something you all b**** about it. No wonder the sport of running never gets attention, you're all a bunch of f***ing whiners!
satch review; B overall - no Chariots of Fire , but very enjoyable.

No, any runner trying to break 4 will have awesome form.
