Not trying to create a conspiracy theory but why does nyc bring in 15 African male studs for the men’s race but very few women? The women race very impacted with a predictably slow start. Do they just want another American to finish high?

Why can't Nike pay ESPN $250K for commercial free coverage?
Hell, I love triathlon. Amazon sponsored the Ironman World Championship this year. They brought up Amazon every 10 fucking minutes to the point it was a meme. But they also showed the 9 hour race in its entirety in a Facebook feed. I watched the entire Ironman World Championship live this year.
I would love for a commercial free feed even if I had to hear "presented by Nike" every 2 minutes. -

I was convinced at the start of the day we'd see a new NY American record in the women's race. It's only 2:25:53 (Goucher) but these women just hit 10k in 37:05. 2:25:53 pace is 34:34 at 10k. So they just tossed away 2:31.
You'd think people would want to run for some of the time bonuses.
