Per IAAF tables, Willis wins. Over and over.
Also, a few Olympic and WC medals don't hurt either. Warhurst > Coaching-Go-Round

Webb set his time in 2007. Willis ran 3:29.66 in 2015.

Which Webb never had. Ever hear of Steve Cram?

What are the clean records for the 1500 and mile?

My PRs. Or in your case, your PRs.

Also same age, believe or not.

Aside from the Michigan connection, why are we even comparing them? Its not even close. Willis eats Webb's lunch.
Alan was much better overall runner. Look at it this way, he was just has fast as Willis in the mile/1500 (just not as consistent).

Whatever Steve Ovett's PBs are

I'm one that rates Webb's mile time as better, just ignore IAAF's tables. But Willis's two Olympic Medals makes him a far greater runner. Given the Kiprop "likely doping" revelation just adds to his status. His wife is expecting again too.

I wasn't being clear - what I meant was, comparing the 1500 performance of one athlete with the mile performance of another is not always a good idea.

A better indicator is consistency and medals, in my opinion.
Lol

I mean...Webb was technically slower than Willis and has zero medals, in his primary event or others.
in Webb we trust wrote:Devil Dog wrote:Alan was much better overall runner. Look at it this way, he was just has fast as Willis in the mile/1500 (just not as consistent).
