The real crying shame about this is that if she managed a genuine 400 miles, as opposed to the high estimate of 495. That's still an incredible amount of miles to do on a boring treadmill in that time; especially for someone so inexperienced at official events.
I think if there wasn't such a hullabaloo of a GWR attempt, complete with a cringe worthy social media campaign, she would still have won all the same sycophantic fanboys and girls she got from her good looks and talk of unicorns, but also won some quiet respect from a few seasoned ultra-runners. Myself included.
As things stand now, Amy comes across as being not that bright, and a bit of a cry baby. Dave K comes across as being not that bright, but a bit sensitive and snappy.
Will be interesting to see how things pan out now that scrutiny of all past challenges and their "charity" work is on.
