Flotrack will buy the rights next year.
No way 4:12 is worth any of those times, those are probably similar to about 4:05
VDOT for 4:12 1.5km: 66.3
Equivalent race times based on VDOT:
Half marathon: 01:11:37

There is a fairly good chance this is how it will turn out. Anyone know what True's been up to? He stopped using Strava a little over a month ago and before that he as mostly biking.
Galen makes an early move on the hill. A couple of young guys go with him and blow up. True reels him in at mile 4 and out kicks him ftw. Chelimo goes with True but finishes 2nd. Galen 3rd.
True is the superior road racer of the distance.
Looks like you're right, per the News section of the MRR website:
I run it every year so I've never actually watched, but I'm told by friends that the coverage is notoriously bad. It's like they dig out the old cameras for this race, it's not even HD and the commentators are the local news anchors who drew the short stick to work Thanksgiving morning, so don't expect great commentary...perhaps Lori Riley will be live tweeting from the media truck out front, but she might run also, not sure. @lrileysports on the Twitter
Nonsense, elites run races out of season all the time that they specifically say they just ran it as a tempo or tune up and didn't push, or if they did push, they are well outside of peak fitness.

It might be a training block, but it's still a race. You being a coach should know that these elite athletes have a competitive edge beyond most which is why they are elite. I doubt that Rupp is coming from Portland, Or to Manchester, Ct just to run a "glorified" tempo. There will be a race!
$4k might not be a lot to Rupp, but there are others who want that money. There will be a race!
Unless of course, you believe Rupp likes to lose.
Martha Stewart a late entry.
Women's field not too shabby either.
