      • A lot of props to coach Milt. He gets a lot of criticism on this boards, and certainly doesn't have a perfect track record, but he has done a great job being patient and bringing Cranny back from injury to PR and just miss an NCAA title. Between her, the work he has done with McGorty and Fisher, it has been a very solid NCAAs for Stanford.

      • This bodes well for Christina Aragon and Ella Donaghu of the class of 2020. Milt will hopefully have 3 or 4 girls in the 1500 finals next year.

      • School Record for Elise, breaking Lauren Centrowits' 4:10.+ from several years ago.

        Though not the 4:09.50 Oly Trials standard, she'll get in when USATF fills out the field to 24-32 runners.

        Never-ending change of fortunes for the Cain-Efraimson-Cranny trio. It's like they're on separate yo-yo's, one going up while the others go down, then back again.

        You can see how Freitas does her victory arm thing at the line nearly punching Cranny in the face! What do you do, lunge forward for the tape and then take a fist in the face? This was complete Bull$hit! Freitas should be disqualified for impeding the path of another runner "obstruction". Chicken $hit win for Freitas!

        The NCAA needs to come down hard on this 'grand standing' crapola! Next time I run a race and it's close, I'm going to start punching and swinging wildly at the line to knock out any competitors coming close on either side - works every time apparently!

      • Freitas should be DQed. Cranny had to move to dodge Freitas' arm flying at her face. Cranny lost by allegedly 4 thousandths of a second, clearly the obstruction by Freitas cost Cranny the win.

      • If we can get a video of Robert Young running past a car wash in middle America about 10-12 minutes behind his support RV I'm sure some Letsrun poster can dig up the finish photo from a NCAA championship.

      • Cranny & Aragon both closed 62.8-62.9 on their respective final laps.

        Simpson & Rowbury have closed in 60 while Mary Cain used to be able to do that. Brenda Martinez has closed that fast as well.

        However, sub-63 closing times in sub-4:10 races essentially put Elise & Christina on-par with every elite American 1500 gal.

        Yea, look at that! How can Cranny's ponytail be in front of Freitas's right hand and torso not be across the line first, if Freitas feet are further back? Makes no sense!

        Freitas is not particularly big in the chest so that doesn't work either! One cannot raise their arms into that high of a position and at the same time pump out ones chest forward 6 inches - impossible - try it yourself.

        I think they've got this seriously wrong - We need to see a side shot of this or call it a tie!
