you also have to remember if it wasnt for his willingness to train her she wouldnt be where she is today. especially with her condition, you can somewhat understand that through all the trials and hardships there would be a father-figure like bond between them.

Am I the only one that thought the coach hugging her and kissing her forehead at the very end was super-f*cking creepy? He's an authority figure and she's a high school girl. If she was my daughter I would throttle any middle-age man showing her that kind of physical affection. I thought coaches were fired for getting that close to young female athletes.
Yes, you are the only one. Twisting something innocent into a disgusting observation I find creepy.

I thought the same. Beautiful, inspiring story, but the dramatics at the end of every race were too much.

That was an inspiring piece. This may sound a little insensitive but all the dramatics at the end of the race seem a bit much. Im sure she needs her coach to catch her but whats with all the other dramatics like "please please help me....water....help me please." It would seem like she would be used to that happening at the end of the race and would be a little more calm. Not trying to be an ass, just keepin it real.
I'm not the first guy, but really? You don't think it's at least a bit weird how she is saying 'HOLD ME! HOLD ME!'
