    Lawi pushed and pushed. Ches came by at 250 and surely it was over. But no.
    
    Just like Sam Chelanga in 2011!! The one time dominant man ends his NCAA career with a stirring victory.

  - i was SO happy for Lawi. i was SCREAMING at my computer screen for him. he did all the work and chez just stuck to him like glue. to see him come back on chez like that after taking the pace was phenomenal. GO LAWI!

  - Ches is a fantastic runner, but he does really weird stuff with his hands. Adjusting his singlet when they are running nearly all-out, windmilling his arms during the final sprint.... It's like he has runner's Tourettes or something.
    
    Lawi is a tribute to guts in running, period.
    
    And Dunbar....WOW.

  - A lot of break throughout. Dunbar has been on fire. 13:40 was his pr coming into this year, 13:32 before this race.
    
    The Rosas has a great meet as well, both always had enormous potential and both finally seem like they might put it together.
    
    Jenkins is coming along. Not too far off last year in what was probably the only time all season he's gone all out.

    It looks like we have found a chink in Cheserek's armor.
    
    If the pace is fast, he is vulnerable, as we saw in the pac 12 1500.
    
    Good run by both Lawi & Edward. Both under the old NCAA championship record.

  - Cheserek had it coming, the bum. Lalang has run 13 flat and is waaaay above his level, and proved it by leading the whole way and then outkicking him anyway.
    
    How is 13:18 the NCAA record? That's pretty bad considering how long the Kenyans have been involved. And no it's not the best race you've ever seen, once you and that random stranger in the stands calm down a bit.

    Um no, stop smoking crack. There is no chink is his armour, there is just a man named Lawi who when fit is better than ches. 3:33 and 13:00 last year is no joke.

  - Henry Rono.... 1308 in a college triangle meet in 1978, best 5000. Lalang beat Sydney Maree's meet record of 1320 which he set by kicking past Rudy Chapa. Maree still holds 1500 meet record.
