I did not have the lump but i had the compensatory issues as well. They have settled down and only get sore when I am strengthening the RA with a new excercise, but it is more muscular now.
I've received my refund for meds, but I've yet to be paid for the surgery itself. I've been told by the BCBS Germany rep that others have had surgery w/ Dr. UM and haven't had a problem being repaid. Its been five weeks since submitting my claim and they said it takes four to six weeks. I'll keep you posted, but I'm optimistic.

hey everyone! My appt with Dr. M on the 4th went very well. She said I had a "classic case" of a sportmans groin on both sides. They were both about the same size....about 1cm and both compressing right on the nerve that runs to the testicals and the upper thigh. She recommended surgery because of the pain they are causing.
I am still hesitant to fly to Germany for a surgery. Its just hard for me to grasp the concept that I pay for good health insurance and they aren't going to help me with once cent of it. SOMETHING has to be done about that!
I am pretty sure the pain will win out VERY soon and I'll be scheduling a trip to Germany in my near future. I also want to know why the SHs happened in the first place. Was I running too much...not stretching correctly? I don't want to get them fixed only to have it happen again in the future.
Mello----I remember you said you had BCBS and they said they were going to pay?? Any info on that?
