      • Big day coming. Based on Feb i thought that monday could drop, wasn’t worried about the bump on friday.

      • Actually, I think that it is potentially a very interesting course for them to pursue today, as far as algos are concerned. Smart, I think. Everybody just sit back and take a breather while the immediately recent baseline stabilizes.

        Another good day, down a few points as I predicted...however, I thought the drop would be greater. I have to look at specifics and at volume, hard to know what to make of today in light of last week.

        just a wild, random occurence. A spiking VIX has nothing to do with a falling stock market. No connection.

      • because this is just trading 101. When the market falls sharply, the VIX climbs. One pretty good way to feel good about market timing is to do some buying when the VIX gets up to pretty high levels. Lately that has been around 30. Usually 32 but this isn't a formula.
