      • It sounds like he ran boston and missed practice, missed a class he was supposed to teach, and potentially prevented the team from being able to compete. And I'm sure there is more to it—his relationship with the AD must have gone sour previously.

      • I bet the AD is fat and jealous. I know of a D-I asst tennis coach who played and won tournaments and could hit with his team. He earned the enmity of the hippo-sized head coach--a jealous d...k. Karma intervened, and the asst is now coaching in a major program.

        You don't read very well. That was in 2013 when he missed a day of work (used a personal day). He had a meeting and the AD voiced his displeasure in using vacation time mid-season.

        This year, the university was shut down for Thur/Fri before and Mon of the Boston Marathon because it fell on Easter weekend. The coach left town Sunday, ran Monday, returned to work Tuesday. The university was CLOSED Monday. He missed no work this year.
