Galen Rupp lost in the 5000, beaten by Justyn Knight and Woody Kincaid. Centrowitz crushed everyone in the 1500 as Andrew Wheating ran 3:40, Edward Cheserek 3:41 and Mary Cain 4:13. After going for the win in the 5000 at NCAAs last year (finishing 5th) and mixing it up with Paul Chelimo and Eric Jenkins to run a 7:48 3K last week, Kincaid will no longer go into NCAAs as someone who's not "supposed to be a factor".

No one was holding anything back in this one and in the end Oregon's Edward Cheserek was simply too good for teammate Eric Jenkins over the final 100 as he won his 8th NCAA title in 13:48.67. Jenkins was second and Will Geoghegan was fourth to give Oregon 23 points and seal a second straight team title.
