In the men's 1500, Clayton Murphy and Henry Wynne were the heat winners. Izaic Yorks, Sam Prakel, Blake Haney and Dillon Maggard were the heat winners in the West.
Izaic Yorks ran 3:39.14 to beat a solid 1500 field with Matthew Maton 2nd (3:39.97), Sam Prakel 3rd and Sean McGorty 5th. Elise Cranny took the women's 1500 in 4:17, Raevyn Rogers dominated the 800 in 2:02.41 and in Cheserek's absence Colby Gilbert won the 5K in 13:35 over Morgan Pearson (13:36).
Yorks says growing up he wasn't good at sports and was "very big into Pokemon and loved the softa". He says a conversation with his sister who is in a wheelchair, inspired him to shoot for the Olympics.
The women's meet came down to the 4x400 where UO's Raevyn Rogers just got them the win, an hour after winning the 800 in 2:03. In other distance action, Brannon Kidder ran 1:47.40 to beat Isaiah Harris (1:47.87) and Izaic Yorks won the 1500 (3:41.56) over a field that included Robby Creese, Sam Prakel and Blake Haney.
He beat out Washington's Izaic Yorks by .14-seconds as the top 4 were less than a second from each other. Allie Ostrander ran 8:54 to win the women's race. Boise State's David Elliott took the mile in 3:57.38 as the top-7 went sub-4. Natalia Piliusina took the women's mile in 4:35.31.
