VA Tech's coach, Ben Thomas, says Curtin has a "rare mixture of mental and physical talent" and isn't afraid to lead races. Curtin was a scrawny 110 pounds in his high school days and says getting in the weight room in college has helped him improve as he could barely lift the bar when he was a freshman.
Curtin outkicked Syracuse's Justyn Knight to win ACC Champs while Scott became the first three-time SEC XC champ.
