In the half, Kenya’s William Kibor broke the CR with a 61:21 victory as Elvin Kibet won the women's race (1:15:35).

Salel won in 1:03:13 and Wacera 1:10:19 as both had some interesting post-race quotes with Salel saying he loves Boston so much he should look for an apartment there and Wacera talking about latching on to a sub-elite male runner to help her with the pace.

Salel will face Silas Kipruto (59:39) and Daniel Chebii (59:49) while the women's race has Diane Nukuri (69:12).

Keitany was named as a reserve for the Kenyan Rio marathon squad, but she revealed that the team might not be finalized yet with another decision coming July 1st.

Mutai will face 59:30 man Barselius Kipyego as well as a slew of other Kenyas in the 60-61 minute range. Risper Chebet (69:24) and Esther Chemtai Ndeima (69:49) lead the women's field.

Former USA marathon champ Esther Erb was a close 2nd (74:51).
