Injuries have kept Evan Jager from racing since last August. Jager is back running now -- finally -- and he's ready to talk. About the adductor problem that started this whole cycle last summer, about the misdiagnosed stress fracture, about the chance that his perfect seven-year win streak in the steeplechase at USAs could finally come to an end.
Jager is one win away from tying the record for most consecutive US steeplechase titles (held by Henry Marsh who won seven from 1981 to 1987). "I definitely have some pride in the consecutive titles I've won. I would like to keep that going," Jager said.
The Super Bowl may be on Sunday but we are calling Saturday "Super Saturday" - what an incredible day of action. If you are a distance fan, you might as well cancel your plans as there is going to be riveting action all day long.
