Tuwei won in a close race just beating out Marius Kimutai (2:09:32) and 2:03 man Moses Mosop (2:09:33). Bahrain’s Eunice Chumba (2:31:13) won the women's race.
Mosop ran 2:03:06 in Boston in his debut.
Women's race has Kenyan's Emily Chemutai Ngetich (2:25 marathon pb) and Pauline Njeri (67:55).
Moses Mosop leads the way as he faces Vincent Kipruto (2:05:13), Bazu Worku (2:05:25) and Deressa Chimsa (2:05:42).
Mosop set the Chinease all-comers' record, breaking the 2:06:32 ran by Sammy Wanjiru when he won the 2008 Olympics. This was a big race for Mosop who has struggled the last couple of years, only running 2:20:37 in his last marathon in May.
There are also another nine sub-2:10 men in the field. Mare Dibaba (2:19:52) faces Mamitu Daska may (2:21:59) in the women's race.
Mosop says he's not at 100% and faces five sub-2:07 guys. 2011 New York Marathon champion Firehiwot Dado leads the women's field against Flomena Chepchirchir (2:23:00).
Mosop talks about his training, how he feels his 2:03:06 from the 2011 Boston Marathon was legit, and his three children with Florence Kiplagat.
