Edris, the world leader at 5000 last yaer, beat Imane Merga by .45 in 27:17.18, while Burka, the former wold indoor champ at 1500, won by more than a second in 30:49.68.

Shalane Flanagan showed she's ready for Boston, Gabriele Grunewald got a nice pr and win in the 5000m, Sam Stabler of Lamar had the breakthrough of the meet in the 5000m, Oliver Aitchison showed he's becoming a force at 1500m, German Fernandez got a much needed win and Erin Teschuk got some attention.
Dibaba just missed the WR and Lagat came up short in his AR attempt in 3rd.
Tola won over an extremely deep field that included former world XC champ Imane Merga, track studs Hagos Gebrehiwet and Yenew Almirew, world marathon bronze medalist Tadesse Tola and Ethiopian half-marathon record holder Atsedu Tsegaye. Yalew beat world cross-country silver medallist Hiwot Ayalew, world 10,000m bronze medallist Belaynesh Oljira, and former world indoor 1500m champion Gelete Burka.
Sambu ran 27:39 as Komon ran 28:17 getting his first loss over 10K on the road since February of 2011. Sambu also just missed the 8K WR along the way. Joyce Chepkirui won the women's race in 31:17.
