Behind him 19-year-old Elzan Bibic ran 7:51.5 in 2nd. Jakob Ingebrigsten won the 1500 in 3:41.81 while Filip Ingebrigtsen was 5th in the 900 (1:48.13) which was won by Thomas Roth in 1:46.90.
Franklin broke Orji's AR before USAs, but Orji came through with the win in Des Moines.
