Matt Centrowitz ended a perfect indoor season with gold in the 1500 before the hometown fans.
Unsponsored Boris Berian got the gold and Erik Sowinski the bronze.

Renaud Lavillenie (6.02m CR) and Jenn Suhr (4.90m) Claim Pole Vault Titles to Open 2016 World Indoor Championships

It only took Lavillenie two jumps to wrap up pole vault gold, but that didn't stop him from entertaining the Portland crowd with a new meet record and three thrilling attempts at the the world record. On the women's side, it was an all-American battle for gold as Suhr and Sandi Morris went 1-2.
