- Good Read: The Philadelphia Inquirer: Gary Martin Has Olympic Dreams After Running A Sub-4 Minute Mile Martin's high school doesn't even have a track. They practice in the parking lot and try to get on nearby public schools.
- Nick Willis Was A Rabbit At The Tracksmith Amateur Mile Last Week In London The event had 274 runners competing over 13 races, ranging from 8-minute miles to a sub-4 attempt. The fastest times ended up being 4:09 for the men and 5:02 for the women. One master runner collapsed and had to be revived with CPR and a defibrillator, but still said they wanted to "get up and finish the race."

- LSU's Favour Ofili Wins 100, 200, 4x100 Triple At SEC Champs She ran 10.93 and 22.04 to beat out Kentucky's Abby Steiner in both the 100m and 200m (Steiner was 11.02 and 22.07).
- Abby Steiner Helps Kentucky To 4x400 Collegiate Record At SEC Champs (3:21.93) Three different runners split 48 in the race. Texas A&M was a very close 2nd place, just .08 seconds back with the #2 all-time NCAA mark.
*MB: Steiner 48.7 4x4 split - MB: Matt Boling (20.01) absolutely destroys Fahnbullah (20.13) in SEC 200 Finals. NCAA champs here we come. Boling also was 4th place in the 100m (10.13) which was won by Tennessee's Favour Ashe in 10.04.
*MB: Matthew Boling peaked early again - Arkansas Men, Florida Women Claim SEC Conference Titles Both team fights were extremely close as Arkansas men beat out Alabama by just 6 points and the Florida women finished 4 points ahead of Arkansas. Ole Miss' Mario Garcia Romo dominated the 1500 in 3:36.91 while Ole Miss' Sintayehu Viass took the women's race in 4:08.72. Mercy Chelangat won the 5000m in 15:22.99.

- Good Read: Scientists And Friends Of LRC Ross Tucker And Joanna Harper Talk To The BBC About The Transgender Debate They both criticized the IOC's transgender policy which presumes biological men don't have any advantage over women and puts it on individual sports to make their own rules and conduct their own scientific research.
- Two British Runners (One Of Them Olympian) Say Transgender Athletes Shouldn't Compete In The Women's Category The article says the athletes wanted to remain anonymous "for fear of social media backlash and losing sponsorship deals and that, "They were advised against speaking out by those closest to them - but felt they needed to 'stand up.'" We appreciate that, but think more women athletes need to speak out publicly.
