LRC An Unknown High Schooler Just Ran a 3:57 Mile — Everything You Need To About Hobbs Kessler’s Record-Breaking Run Who the heck is Hobbs Kessler? We tell you everything you need to know about the guy who came into yesterday’s race with a 4:18 1600 pb and left with a 3:57 mile pb. Kessler broke Drew Hunter‘s indoor record of 3:57.81. He was 3rd in the race behind Algeria’s Takieddine Hedeilli (3:56.79) and Nick Willis (3:56.82).

USATF Recap:Sandi Morris Clears World Leading 4.88m PV; Misses 5.07m WR Attempt   GB’s Adelle Tracey won the 800m in 2:02.11 while high schooler Sophia Gorriaran moved to #3 on the all-time US list with 2:02.44. Marquis Dendy set a world lead in the LJ (8.21m) and Ronnie Baker beat out Trayvon Bromell in the 60m (6.53 to 6.58). Vashti Cunningham cleared 2.00m in the HJ.

They reveal they “might” do XC, but after running an NCAA record of 9:19.42 in their season opener it looks like the goal is the NCAA team title indoors. “The way these guys have stuck with it and kept their edge, it’s been really special,” said Thomas.
