LRC Joshua Cheptegei Talks After Breaking The 5,000m World Record Cheptegei says he never doubted he’d break Kenenisa Bekele‘s 5,000 WR and now may go for the 10,000 mark. “I have a surprise. I might run a 10,000 meters very soon,” said Cheptegei. Cheptegei also reveals he’s wanted to be the GOAT since 2014, talks about why Uganda could finally be emerging as a serious distance power and discusses if a sub-12:30 or sub-26:00 are possible. “12:30 Could Be Possible, Maybe Also Sub-26:00? I Don’t Know.”
