Mass Road Race News

• The London Marathon Might Not Take Place Again Until October 2021 Organizers are expected to announce on July 28th if the race is going ahead in October, but if it is cancelled, they’re not even sure the 2021 race (which is supposed to be the UK Olympic Trials) will happen in April.
• Athens Marathon Cleared To Proceed As Mass Participation Event In November Greece is limiting races to 5,000 participants, so Athens is having two races with 5,000 runners each, one starting an hour after the first. They’re also not inviting foreign elite athletes.
• RRW:Classic Ohio Road Race to Go Forward On Sunday With Precautions The News-Herald Johnnycake Jog 5 Mile is taking precautions that include prohibiting “spitting, ‘snotting’ or projecting any bodily fluid.”

LRC I Was Bored, So I Watched The Greatest Marathon Ever – 2002 London 18 years ago, the three men who held the marathon WR from 1999 to 2011 – Geb, Tergat and Khannouchi – sparred on the streets of London in an epic race and Paula Radcliffe announced herself as a marathon star. It was the marathon’s greatest day.
