• WADA To Meet With Russia To Discuss Laboratory Inconsistencies Later This Month According to ARD journalist Hajo Seppelt, Russia failed to answer WADA’s questions regarding the data. They only answered 23 of 31 question and didn’t answer them fully.
• USADA Head Travis Tygart Blasts Investigation Into NOP Athletes Calling It A Waste Of Time Tygart says USADA already “left no stone unturned” in its years-long investigation into Alberto Salazar.
• WADA President Craig Reedie Says They May Retest Old Stored Samples For NOP Athletes
• UK Anti-Doping Reviewing Whether It Needs To Follow WADA’s Lead To Investigate Salazar-Coached Athletes
• IOC Pledges $10 Million To WADA Half of the money will go toward storing samples from pre-Olympic testing and the other half toward investigation and research.

• AP: Two Russians Banned For Doping At Past Olympics Sprinter Yulia Gushchina and LJer Anna Klyashtornaya both received bans, although neither of them are still competing. Russian shot putter Olesya Sviridova also received a new 4-year ban after it was discovered he violated the terms of his previous doping ban.
• WADA To Launch New Whereabouts App This Month Many athletes have complained that the previous one was difficult to use.

MB: Conference Championships weekend

• Pac-12: Colorado men win it (again) as #2 Stanford women DESTROY #3 Washington 27 to 55 The Colorado men came in tied for #3 in the country with Stanford but they won easily as Stanford was only third. Colorado was led by individual champ Joe Klecker as Thomas Ratcliffe was only 6th. The #2 Stanford women CRUSHED it beating #3 Washington, 27 to 55 as Fiona O’Keeffe got the individual win.
• ACC: Syracuse men are back baby!! 6th-highest ranked team in ACCs win team title, NC State women win as well The Orange were only ranked 28th coming in but they got the win over #20 Notre Dame, #21 Florida St, #23 NC State, #24 UVA and #26 Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech’s Peter Seufer repeated for the men’s individual title as NC State’s Elly Henes – the coach’s daughter – won the individual title.
• Big 12: Iowa State men (34) and Oklahoma State women (52) win The women’s team race was super tight as just 4 points separated 1st and 3rd.
• SEC: #1 Arkansas women (21) and #11 Ole Miss men (35) roll at SECs Vincent Kiprop of Alabama and Katie Izzo of Arkansas were your individual champs
• Big East: Villanova men (36), Butler women (52) win titles
• Ivy League: Penn men upset Princeton, Columbia women win Columbia’s Kenny Vasbinder (24:32) and Yale’s Kayley DeLay (20:45) got the individual wins.
• Big Sky: NAU Men And Women Sweep Big Sky Conference Titles NAU freshman Drew Bosley won the men’s race. Montana State’s Camila Noe took the women’s.

• Mountain West: Weini Kelati And New Mexico Women Win Mountain West Championships New Mexico won easily while Kelati finished 49 seconds ahead of teammate Ednah Kurgat. Utah State and Dallin Farnsworth won the men’s competition.
• Patriot: Army men get revenge on Navy, win by 3; BU women win
• West Coast: BYU Men And Women Sweep West Coast Conference Champs Conner Mantz and Whittni Orton won the individual titles.

• Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike Accepts Marathon Move, But Says They Won’t Pay For It Koike: “I would describe what occurred here as a decision without agreement.”
  
• GB’s Charlotte Purdue Says Sebastian Coe Should Apologize For The Dangerous Doha Marathon At World Champs Purdue was one of the 28 women who dropped out in the hot Doha conditions and she called the whole thing a “sh– show.”
• AP: Runners Have Mixed Opinion On Moving Olympic Marathon Out Of Tokyo Most runners quoted in this article (including Des Linden, Jared Ward, Kellyn Taylor and Shalane Flanagan) seem to prefer it had stayed in Tokyo. Lelisa Desisa supported the move, but Aussie Sinead Diver made the good point that it’s not even guaranteed to be much cooler in Sapporo (estimates are only 3 degrees F cooler at the start).
• After Dispute With IOC, Tokyo Reluctantly Agrees To Move Olympic Marathon North To Cooler Climates Tokyo governor Yuriko Koike: “Although I do not agree with the IOC decision, I will not interfere with the choice made by the authority vested with the right to deliver the final word.”

• Pretty Generous: Russian World Champions Maria Lasitskene (HJ) And Anzhelika Sidorova (PV) Share Prize Money With Teammates The two were randomly offered $157,000 and a new car each for winning worlds, but rather than keep all the money, they decided to split it with all their teammates who went to Doha. And Lasitskene gave the car to her coach.
